Welcome To Your Childbirth Kit Course
Pregnancy and Childbirth are often the first time when a woman decides to learn about Homeopathy. I found that I learnt so much by reading books, watching podcasts, and doing small courses that gave me the confidence as a new Mum, to treat my family for minor ailments.
This beautiful medicine has the capability to help soothe illness in your tiny baby, wipe an exhausted mother’s brow, calm down terrible two tantrums and even for puberty hormonal issues, anxieties and emotional outbursts.
It will hold your hand throughout all walks of life.
Please go through the remedies with your birthing partner BEFORE childbirth, so you both have an understanding of the process and of the Homeopathic remedies discussed.
By being prepared you can then focus on the birth of your baby and immerse yourself in your baby’s innate and beautiful miraculous birth.
Helpful Advice For Childbirth
Creating The Perfect Birthing
Create a quiet atmosphere, whether it is at home or at the hospital. Ask people to lower their voices, turn down harsh lights and focus on bringing your baby into a world as peacefully as possible. Remember it is a scary awakening from the dull warm cosy environment of mummy’s womb. Respect their emotions and make it as smooth as possible for them to enter this world.
Pre-birth Tips & Tricks
I would advise squatting as much as you can before birth to loosen all the muscles.
Consider reducing as many “white” carbs as you can as they can often create more fluid around the baby. Instead eat good quality brown bread and brown rice, brown pasta or lentil pasta as a lot of fluid around the baby can create a longer labour.
Sing to your baby in the womb, dance daily to help endorphins in your body which will make you and your baby smile!!
Preparing Your Space
Whatever your living accommodation, prepare a little ‘baby’ area, with clothes pre-washed in non toxic washing liquid (I use ecover). I recommend all families adopt this method of washing clothes as perfumes and toxic chemicals can stay on clothes for a long time. You want to create a world free from artificial toxic chemicals. No more plug in air fresheners in your house or car. Evidence suggests that this overload of perfumes and toxins is creating allergies and skin issues for children and adults.
Cutting The Cord
I would advise you to ask your Midwife not to clamp the umbilical cord until all the goodness of the nutritional iron rich nutrients have finished pumping from the placenta into your baby. Even a baby born via Caesarean can still have the cord clamping delayed to help reduce anaemia and stress. I would suggest waiting until the cord is white, completely empty, for the placenta to be born and the baby has had a first feed. There is no need for any medication to be given to deliver the Placenta until the body has been given all these opportunities to shrink and become smaller to enable natural delivery without any injection.
